Foster Parents To Host Foster Parents of Cleveland County will host abig Christmas party Dec. 18 at 7:30 p. m. at Kings Mountain Community Center for benefit of all foster children in the county. Grady Woods, 71, of Shelby, retired Shelby policeman and father of two Kings Mountain citi- zens, were conducted Sunday at 2 p. m. from Highland Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Crotts and Rev. Leonard Thomas, interment following in Cleveland Memorial Park. Mr. Woods died Friday afternoon in Lincolnton Nursing Home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Flossie Brigman Woods; his son, H. Grady Woods, Jr. of Kings Moun- tain; his stepson, Walter Davis of Shelby and Mar- shall Davis of Detroit, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Shelby Kirkendall of Gelenhouser, Germany, Mrs. Priscilla Martin of Shelby, Mrs. Phyllis Mostella of Myrtle Beach, 8. C., Mrs. Virginia Clark of Warrington, Fla. and Mrs. Gertrude Weathers of Shelby; two step- daughters, Mrs. Patsy Oaks of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Juanita Hardin of Albuquerque, N. C., brother of Mrs. Thelma Monroe of Kings Mountain, were con- ducted Sunday at 2 p. m. from Green Pond United Methodist Church by Rev. G. F. Manigo, interment following in Adams Chapel Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain. Mr. Burris died Tues- day. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Janie Mae Stewart; two brothers, the Rev. George Burris of Detroit, Mich. and Jasper Johnson of Gastonia; seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. MRS. A. B. COBB Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Bolin Cobb, 84, Hospital of Blacksburg, 8. C., formerly of Kings Moun- tain, were conducted Monday at 2 p. m. from the Chapel of Harris Funeral Home. Rev. Leonard Huff- stetler, pastor of Penley's Methodist Church, officiated at the rites, and interment was in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Cobb died Saturday at Cherokee County Hospital in Gaffney, 8. C.
