orange Juice

Rind of two oranges
Gk'ate rind from two
oranges and add to orange
Juice. Add the sugar and
dissolve In the Juice as
much as possible. Add this
to the butter and mix In an
electric mixer until well
blended. Place In a JeUy
Jar and chill in
refrigerator.

2 2-8 cupe sugar
4 eggs
2-8 cup shortening
2-8 cup water
2 cups pumpkin (I use
canned)
8 1-8 to 8H cupe flour
^ t baking powder
2t soda
4 t cloves
11 cinnamon
2-8 cups raisins
2-8 cup nuts
Blend sugar and eggs.
Add shortening and blend.
Add water and pumpkin,
blend. Add remaining
Ingredients and stir until
well blended. Pour batter
Into 4 greased 1 lb. coffee
cans and bake 860 degreea
for 50-60 min. Cool and
remove from tins.

2 cupe self-rising corn
meal mix
m cups milk
Vi cup bacon drippings
or salad oil
2 eggs
Mix all Ingredients
together thoroughly. Pour
Into hot greased shallow
baking pan. Bake at 400
degrees 80-86 minutes or
until golden brown. 8-10
servings.

2 cups flour
1 T baking powder
Vi t salt
8-8 cup milk
1-8 cup oil
Mix flour with baking
powder and salt. Mix oil
with milk. Blend two
mixtures together with a
fork. Mix unUl mixture
cleans the aide of the bowl.
Place dough on a sheet of
wax paper. Place a second
sheet of wax pMier over
dough. Press with hands to
Vi-Inch thickness. Remove
top layer of wax paper. Oit
with ungreased unfloured
biscuit cutter. Place on
baking sheet. Bake at 478
degrees 10 to 12 minutes.
When using self-rising
flour, omit baking powder
and salt. 18 2-lnch biscuits.
