Scruggs explained that It

the foreground and the
village of Grover among
the hlUs and trees In the
background. "We caU It
Old Grover.”
’The town was named
Whitaker at one Ume, but
was changed by legislative
act In honor of President
Grover Cleveland. The
name became Orover of
Cleveland County. Dean
Westmoreland, a
Groverlte and recently ap
pointed town board
member, said ’“The legis
lators thought that would
be a nleo toueh.”
