Foster Kids Entertained Foster children residing In Kings Mountain and Shelby were special guests of the Kings Mountain Klwanls C3ub last Thur sday. The IS youngsters were each sponsored by a Klwanlan, who served as a sort of Big Brother for the evening. After dinner the youngsters were surprised by a visit from Santa Qaus, who came with a sack filled with goodies. The project was Intro duced by Klwanlan Oeorge Hatch, who said his Idea was to work the program like a Big Brothers project "But not Just as one-tlmo event. We would like to continue the program taking the youngsters on picnics, trips and to ball- games," Hatch said. Each foster child was paired with a Klwanlan who was responsible for ‘ picking him or her up, bringing them to the meeting and returning them home. Hie children ranged In age from six to IB and were from The Sheltef Home, Shelby, and the homes of Mrs. Orace H. Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bridges and Mr. and Mrs. WUUs F.
