Page SB-MIRROB-HEIIALD—Thunday, December U, 1(76 Vickie Maddox, Steve Chriscoe Exchange Vows Saturday Shiloh Presbyterian Church at Orover was the setting Saturday evening for a 7 p. m. wedding uniting Miss Vickie Kay Maddox and Steve Donavan Chriscoe. Rev. Edwin A. Chriscoe, father of the bridegroom, officiated at the double- rtaig ceremony, assisted by Dr. Olln Whltener, minis ter of the church. Mrs. Jack LaU wets or ganist for the program of traditional music smd vocal numbers were by Alien Connor. Mr. Connor sang “Wedding Song" before the ceremony and "Wedding Prayer" as the couple lighted a Unity candle on the altar. White candles smd msignolla leaves enhanced the windows of the sanc- tusu7. Six seven-branched candelabra holding cathedral candles smd arranged with magnollsui, fresh white mums, gdads and greenery decorated the altar. Two three- brsmch candelabra were on either side of the setting M^ch was hl^Ulghted by a Christmas tree decorated with white Chrlsmons, the Christian symbols of Christmas. Earl Maddox escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her In marriage. Ihe bride’s gown was an Original design created of aUk organza and Imported Venlse lace posed over fsdlle tsiffeta. The empire bodice was styled wdth sheer yoke and keyhole neckline outlined with gar lands of lace which ex tended down the front bodice smd circled the raised waistline. Long, fitted Hmvm tma laee spray Inserts and self ruffle at the wrists. 'The column skirt was enhanced with lace florets and bordered with a hemline flounce banded with lace smd extending around the Chapel train. Her chapel- length veil of English tulle wsm overlaid with Brussels Isme mantilla draped on a Isme camelot studded with pearls. She carried white prayerbook h^ped wdth white rosebuds, greenery smd baby’s breath. Miss Sherry Maddox at tended her sister sw maid of honor and brldesmsdds were Miss Susie McDaniel smd Miss Jan Deveney, both of Kings Mountsdn. Ashley Hsmry of Grover was flower girl. All the attendsmts wore floor length dresses of beauty Interlock styled with halter neckline and covered with a circular capelet with manderln collar. A diamond-shaped trapunto Insert accented the front waistline. ’The gathered front fullness fell to the hemline of the . flowing skirts. They carried bouquets of white mums tied with satin streamers. William Wheeler of Kings Mountain was the bridegroom’s best man. Darrell Chiiscoe of Uncolnton, brother of tha bridegroom, ushered wdth Bernard Beck and Donnls Beck of Seagrove. Billy Hldell of Grover carrl^ the rings. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Maddox chose a formal gown at emerald green poly suede styled with deep V neckUne and long, fitted sleeves. (Marlene Boyd) Boyd, Hogue Vows Said Mount Zion Baptist Church provided the set ting Saturday for a 4 p. m. exchange of wedding vows uniting Miss Mariens Boyd of Kings Mountain and Johnnie Hogue, Jr. of Grover. ’Ihe couple pledged vows of the double-ring cere mony before the Rev. R. E. Devoe. Frank Williams of Char lotte was pianist tor the program of nuptial musle and vocal numbers were by Mrs. Jane Russel Singleton of Charleston, S. C. The bridegroom’s mother wore a formal length red chiffon dress with matching cape and a corsage of white rosebuds. Mrs. Richard Rollins, grandmother of the bride, chose a pink chiffon for mal-length gown with a pink cymbidlum corsage. Mrs. John Maddox, grandmother of the bride, chose a green floor-length dress and a white cym bidlum corsage. After receiving guests In the vestibule of the church, the bridal couple left for a trip to Atlanta, Ga. For traveling, the new Mrs. Chriscoe wore a green pant suit smd the orchid lifted from her bridal bouquet. Shelby will be home for the newlyweds. She Is employed as a data processor at LAK, Inc. of Shelby. ’Ihe bridegroom Is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Edwin Chriscoe of Uncoln- tcsi, formeriy of Kings Mountain. He Is a 1974 graduate of KMHS and attended Southern Technical Institute of Marietta, Oa. He is em ployed by Eaton Cor poration. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Parks of Asheboro, Conard smd Debbie of grandparents of the Cramerton, Mr. and Mrs. bridegroom; and Mr. and Elbert Beck of Seagrove, Mrs. Bernard Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Donnie Beck, of Seagrove.
