Miss Arlene Boyd of Kings Mountain was maid of honor and Mrs. Alta Terrill of Philadelphia, Pa. was matron of honor. Both are slaters of the bride. They wore blue A-llned formals of Qulana Knit with matching Jackets trlnuned In blue Marabu. Their blue hats were trimmed In matching satin and they carried blue carnations enhanced by yellow chiyaanthemums and baby's breath. Attending the bride as bridesmaids were Miss Donna Atkinson of Wilmington, Delaware, Mias Valecla Beaty of Atlanta, Oa., Miss Valrle Boyd of Kings Mountain, sister of the bride. Miss Oall Davis and Miss Karen Huntley, bodi of Chariotto, and Mias Joann Hogue of Orover, sister of the bride groom. AU the attendants wore marigold A-llne formal length dresses of Qulana Knit trimmed In marigold Marabu with matching hats trimmed In marigold velvet. They carried bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums, blue carnations and baby’s breath. Johnnie Hogue, 3r. of Orover was his son’s best man. Qroomsmen were James L. Boyd, Jr., Miles R. Boyd, both of Kings Mountain, brodiers of the bride, Dennis Hogue of Orover, brother of the bridegroom, Oregory Terrill of Philadelphia, Pa., brother-in-law of the bride, Jimmy Thompson, Frankie Thompson and Wllkam Thompson, all of Kings Mountain, cousins of the bride. The bride’s parents entertained after the cere mony at a beautifully- appointed reception In the church fellowship hall which carried out the wed ding colors. An eight-tier wedding cake was centred decoration for the bride’s table from which cake, punch, cheese straws, sauae«e balls and party plck-iq>s were served. Mrs. Lottie Falls, Mrs. Queen Manning, Mrs. Alice Mltchem, Mn. Vera Norris, Mrs. Delores Edgerton, and Mrs. Brenda Wright assisted In serving. Mrs. Qeraldlne Dye Invited guests to register. For a wedding tr4> to Philadelphia, Pa., the bride chose a blue two- piece pantsuit with mat ching accessories and the corsage lifted from her bridal bouquet Germany will be home tor the newlyweds. BRIDE AND BBUIEOBOOM Mr. and Mrs. James L. Boyd, Sr. of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who la a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1976 graduate of Johnson C. Smith University. The bridegroom la tbs son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Hogue, Sr. of Kings Mountain. A graduate of KMHS, he is In the U. S. Army and will be stationed In Germany for the next three years. C. and Mias Mary Mltchem of Grover. Friends and relatives of Mlaa VlcUe Maddox and Steve Chiiscoe were enter tained at a cake cutting Friday night after the couple’s wedding rehearsal at Shiloh Pres byterian Caiurch in Orover. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mad dox, parents of the bride- to-be, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rollins, grand parents of the bride-to-be, were hosts. Guests were greeted at the door by Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kirby of Shelby. The Fellowship HaU was decorated with candles and greenery Interspersed by baskets of magnolia leaves and holly. Overlaid with bridal satin and Imported ruffled lace, the bride’s table was caught up with red and silver bows and streamers. The main table was cen tered with a three-branch silver candelabra holding white t^ers and arranged with roses, baby’s breath, and miniature red velvet bows. Red punch was served from a large silver punch bowl on one end of the table. The beautifully- decorated cake. In all- white with silver leaves and topped with brldsd figurine, was table highlight. Pick-ups of decorated sandwiches, strawberries, cheese rings and other delicacies were served from diver trays. Assisting In serving were Sharon Sanders, Mrs. John Harry, Jan Goforth, Karen Jenkins, Mrs. Ralph Goforth, ‘and Susie Me Daniel. The hrldegroom-to-be took the occasion to present gifts to groom smen and his rlngbearer.
