Miss Diane Louise Trla became Mr. Thornburg’s bride Friday In a 7 p. m. formal wedding In Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Russell Hinton, pastor of the bridegroom, and Rev. Michael HOban, pastor of the bride at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated, using the double-ring ceremony. 'The altar of the church was enhanced by a brass tree candelabra holding 16 cathedral candles and flanked by white floor baskets of rainbow colored mums and greenery. A satin-covered kneeling bench centered the setting. Pew-markers were hurri cane lamps of tall tapers arranged with pink and white mums. Pink candles In white holders surrounded by greenery were used In each window of the sanctuary. Mrs. Darrell Austin was organist for the program of nuptial mu Re and vocal numbers were by Miss Lynn McDaniel who sang "Entreat Me Not To Leave Thee" before the ceremony and "Wedding Pmyer” as the couple knelt for the benediction by Father Hoban. For the recessional of the bridal pcuty, Mlaa McDaniel sang "We've Only Just Begun." John Joseph Trla, Sr. escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her In marriage. The bride's wedding gown was a Couple Say Vows At Second Baptist Freewill Baptist Church on Second Street was the setting Friday, Feb. 2nth, for a 4 p. m. exchange of wedding vows uniting Miss Tina Hambrlght and Doug Mills. Resume Friday Classes Harry Matthews, Dean of Instruction at Cleveland Tech, has announced the resumption of Friday classes to begin Fri., Mar. 4. In compliance with Gov. Jim Hunt’s request to conserve energy, Cleveland Tech reduced Its live-day cgieratlon to four days during the month of Februaiy. Cleveland Tech’s schedule for classes and adminlstrattve services Is 8a. m. to 4 p. m. and 6 to 10 p. m. Monday through Friday. The Learning Resource Center (LitC) Is open to from 8 a. m. to 10 p. m. Monday through Friday. Trla, Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla., sister of the bridegroom; and Miss Joy Wilson and Miss Susan Wilson, both of Gastonia, cousins of the bride, Ashley Champion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oari Champion, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl. All the attendants wore formal-length gowns of green and pink floral sheer over taffeta. The halter dresses were designed with tie Jackets with butterfly sleeves. They wore fresh flowers in their hair matching their dresses and carried miniature ptaik mums. Participating in the wedding as honorary at tendants were Miss Karen Dixon and Miss Marlsa Dixon, both of Gastonia, cousins of the bride, and Mias Suzanne Jenkins of Morganton, cousin of the bride. Mrs. Mike Jlmlson presided at the guest register In the vestibule of the church. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Trla chose a cranberry formal with shoulder corsage of white orchids. The bridegroom’s mother chose a formal long-sleeved gown of Jonquil yellow chiffon and a corsage of white orchids. After the ceremony the bride’s parents en tertained at a beautifully- appointed reception at Woodbrldge Country Club where the wedding theme was featured In decorative details. Overlaid with white lace cloth, the bride’s table, highlight of decoration, held the pedestal wedding cake. Iced In pink and white, and topped with miniature bridal couple. A cham pagne fountain was on end of the table and guests toasted the bride and bridegroom. Arrangements of pink and white q>rlng flowers and candles decorated the buffet table from which guests were Invited to enjoy supper. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Clonlnger and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bell greeted guests and receiving with the bridal couple and their parents were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Wilson, granc^arents at the bride, and Mrs. Gertrude Champion and Mr. and Mrs. Wray Thornburg, grandparents of the bridegroom.
