C., takes place Hay 1, was honored Saturday evanlng at a bridal shower given by Mrs. Calvin Hughes at her home on KaOierlne Street. The 16 guests showered the bride-to-be with gifts of lingerie. A color note of pink and white featured decorative details and refreshments. Overlaid with lace over pink, the refreshment table held a pink and white arrangement with sliver appointments. Pink punch was served with cake squares, cheese and sausage balls, and pink and white mints. Miss Wright was given a shoulder bouquet to wear with her party drees and a trousseau gift from the hosteeses. The bride’s formal length gown with attsu:hed chapel train was of Ivory Jersey suid had a portrait neckline aig>llqued with Venice lace. The long fitted sleeves were flared at the wrist and bordered with lace. Her cathedral veil of handmade Belgian lace belongs to her great aimt, Mrs. William F. Brewer, of Henderson. In addition to the bride’s aunts and many cousins who have worn the veil, it was worn by the bride’s Mother and sister In their respective wed- dtngs.
