Lewis, pastor of the church, heard the couple’s vows. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Goins of Kings Motmtaln, la a 1976 CUm Laude graduate of Appalachian State University In Boone. Presently a candidate for the Master’s Degree In Public Administration, she Is attending theUnlveralty of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a Fellow ship. The bride carried five Icng-stemmed yellow roses as she was escorted down the aisle to be given away by her father. Miss Donna Carter, the bride’s niece, was her aunt’s Maid of Honor, and carried three long-stemmed yellow roses. The groom’s father was his son-’s best man. Tony Goins of Statesville, and Richard Goins of Charlotte, brothers of the bride, were ushers for the wedding. The bride and groom repeated the traditional wedding vows for the double ring ceremony. Wedding ^''musie was provided by Ms. Pat Long of Raleigh. The couple honeymooned at the North Carolina Coast for the week after the wedding and will reside at the groom’s home, at 404 Morrison Avenue, Raleigh, North Carolina. A reception was held In the church Fellowship Hall Immediately following the ceremony. One hundred guests attended. Miss Terry Krlssandra Humphries became ths bride of James Albert Champion, Jr. Saturday evening In a 8 p. m. wed ding In Shelby’s Zoar Baptist Church. The couple exchanged vows of the double-ring' ceremony before the Rev. Dan Jolly, minister of the church. Miss Mary Helen Humphries was organist lor the program of nuptial music and Ken Brooks was vocal soloist. The altar of the church was banked with palms and enhanced by cathedral tapers In wrought-lron candelabrum entwined with fern. Robert Wendell Hum phries escorted hie daughter to the altar and gave her In marriage. The bride’s wedding gown was a formal design of satln- backed crepe fashioned along princess lines and ccmplemented by a floor- length cape at 'Venlse lace. She wore a garland of baby’s breath In her hair and carried a bouquet of yellow roses centered with a white orchid. Miss Tammy Humphries attended her sister as meld of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Kathy Henson of Easley, S. C., cousin of the bride; Mrs. Doyle Neason of Sumter, S. C., Mrs. Mike McDaniel of Kings Moun tain and Miss Robin Dover of Shelby. All the attendants wore fcrmals of crepe and voile designed along princess lines and enhanced by crepe and voile matching capes. They carried bouquets of mums, daisies and baby’s breath. James Albert Champion of Kings Moimtaln was his son’s best man. Rick Champion, brother of the bridegroom, Dwayne Humphries, brother of the bride, Ken Reynolds and Mike Mc Daniel served as groomsmen. BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wendell Humphries of Shelby are parents of the bride who Is a 1974 graduate of Crest High School. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Albert Champion of Kings Mountain and Is a 1989 graduate of Kings Mountain High School. Route Three will be home for the newlyweds.
