Several hundred people attended the ahow, which featured nine tablea ar ranged In the vsrloua perlode from colonial to oriental. DeUlnger’a Jewel Shop preaented a tOO caah prUa to Town and Country Garden Club, $80 to Klnga Mountain Garden Club and 120 to MagnoUa Garden Club for their dlaplaya. Judges, aU of Columbia, S. C., were Mra. Katie McGlnnla, Mrs. Becky Beck and Mra. Grace HaUman. They were honored by the hoateaa club and DeUlnger’a at a luncheon at Klnga Moun tain Country Club at noon. 'Ihe prize-whining table depicted a formal limcheon for two and waa cited for Its simplicity with the use of a central arrangement of sweetheart roses. A Victorian design was featured In the second place winner which featured white outwork cloth and a central arrangement of mixed spring flowers. The third place winner was a pink and white bridal luncheon table with floor-length cloth and centerpiece of swaatbaart roses. Open Gate Gaidan CSub decorated a Bachelor’s table, Mrs. W. Eugene McOartwr had arranged a red and green table featuring red geranluma in the center. Good Earth Garden had entered an Oriental table complete with pillows for seats, chopsticks and an oriental centerpiece smd Magnolia Garden Club had arranged a yellow and white table featuring wUd popples for a brunch. AU the nine tatdea ware arranged with exquisite china, silver, and ciyatal appointments enhancing the motif of the period the table iUustrated. Entertaining together were the hrldegroom-to- he’s parenta, Mr. and Mrs. Charlea Dover, Sr. at York, S. C. A green and white motif was featured In daoorattva details and refraahments. Overlaid with lace over green, the bilde’s table was cantered with an ar rangement of yellow dalaloa and arranged with a wedding cake and River punch service. Cheaae straws, mints, nuts and party pickups were served from silver appointments. Mra. James Patterson cut and aarred the cake and Mra. Ruth Hughes poured punch. The bride-to-be wore a long blue drasa and a whits mum eoraaga. Mlaa Wrl^t and Mr. Dover took the occasion to present their gifts to their wedding attendants.
