Consolidated earnings after taxes tor the 13-week quarter were $10,736,484 or BSc per share, compared with $17,604,668 or 84 c per share last year. Earnings for the current 40-week period amounted to $64,884,000 or $3.67 per share against $46,810,683 or $3.30 per share. The Company opened 34 neew stares, acquired the wholesale business and 188 retail locations from Klmbell and closed 14 stores since last June 16, having 1,146 In operation on April 3 compared with 1,013 last year.
