His pastor. Rev. G. A. Upton, will officiate and Interment wlU be hi El Bemel cemetery. Mr. Phifer died Wednesday morning at S:U a. m. In Kings Mountain Hospital after several month’s Illness. Me was a native of Qeveland County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.Wllllam Butler Phifer. His wife, me late Vivian Wolfe Phifer, died in 1978. Surviving are two sons, WlUlam and John Phifer of Kings Mountain; one daugh ter, Mrs. Jerry Midman of Houston, Tex.; one brother, Dempsey Phifer of Tahoma aty, CaUf.. seven grand- ohUdren and two great grandchildren.
