Ptl. R. B. Grlndstaff reported that cars operated by Michael L. Mitchell, of 1002 Cleveland Ave., and Doris Hlpp Johnson, of 418 York Rd., were Involved in a collision Sept. 30 on York Rd. when the 1077 Chevy operated by Ms. Johnson apparently sldeswlpped the Mlt- cheU 1072 Ford which was turning into the Little Moo parking lot. MltcheU was proceeding South on York Rd. when Ms. Johnson reportedly started passing on the right hand side of the road. Damages were estimated at $600. Ptl. Mike Sanders reported that David E. Jackson, of Gastonia, operating a 1066 Ford Truck, backed into a stopped 1074 Plymouth operated by Shirley B. Valentine had reported backed from a parking place In front of Plonk’s and Jackson was backing up to look In the windows of the department store. Damages were estimated at $76 to the Valentine car. Youngster Hurt In Car Accident David Bryan Bolt, age eight, was admitted to Kings Mountain Hospital with a broken collar bone following an accident Monday af ternoon on Linwood Rd. According to report of investigating Ptl. J. A. Burton, the boy was returning home frmn school and was walking West on Linwood Road, reportedly “kicking a can’’, when he dsu’ted Into the path of a vehicle operated by A1 Smith Dorsey, of 612 Temple St., operating a 1067 Mercury.
