Her pastor. Rev. Gary Bryant, assisted by a former pastor. Rev. Paul Ausley, officiated at the final rites. N V , N V She was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira P. Guffey and widow of the late Ralph D. Arrowood and widow of the late Fred Pritchard. She was a school teacher for 47 years before her retirement, teaching 21 years ip the Kings Mountain School District. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Suzanne McAulay of Gastonia; three sisters, Mrs. Adam Deck and Mrs. Reedy E. Mullen of Bessemer Qty and Mrs. S. S. Payseur of Shelby; and two grand children. The family has designated memorials to Barium Springs Orphanage. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. J. E. REINHARDT Funeral services for James E. (Hob) Reinhardt, 67, of 101 Walnut St. in Forest City, were conducted Saturday at 2 p. m. from Harrelson Funeral Home in Caroleen, interment fallowing in Oak Grove United Methodist Church of Forest City. Mr. Reinhardt was the brother of Pierce Reinhardt and a retired textile employe. He died Wednesday at his home following lengthy illness. Also surviving are three sis ters, Mrs. Reba Millwood of CUffside, Mrs. Ruth Reinhardt of Caroleen and Mrs. Lucille Vickers of Forest City. MAR’nN MOORE Funeral services for Martin Moore, 82, of Rt. 2, who died Thursday at his home of an apparent heart attack, were conducted Saturday at 3 p. m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Ned Bucker, assisted by Rev. Wray Barrett, of ficiated at the rites. Mr. Moore was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver M. Moore. He was a retired, Mauney Mills employe. His wife, Mrs. Dovie Barrett Moore, died in 1972. Surviving are two foster sons, Claude Phillips of Kings Mountain and Redie Baldwin of Cherryville; one foster daughter, Mrs. Jessie Phillips of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Grady Moore of IQngs Mountain and Oliver Moore of Greenville, & C.; and one sister, Mrs. E. L. Jordan of Kings Mountain. Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. JAMES M. GRIGG Funeral services for James Monroe Grigg, 67, who died Sunday night at 7 p. m. at his home in Gastonia, will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p. m. from Stamey Funeral Chapel in Fallston, interment following in the family plot at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church near Fallston. The family is at the home of Roscoe Grigg on Route Three, Kings Mountain. Mr. Grigg was a retired farmer, son of the late C. Frank and Emma Jane Henson Grigg. Rev. George Thompson, assisted by Rev. Mr. Tarlton, will officiate at the rites. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Barrett Grigg; three sons, Clinton and Roscoe Grigg of Kings Mountin and Eugaie Grigg of Cherryville; four daughters, Mrs. Melba Carpenter of Gastonia, Mrs. BOI Boggs, Mrs. Gene Ed monson, and Mrs. Patricia Smith, all of Kings Mountain; sbe brothers, Andrew, Ambers and Pressley Grigg, all of Shelby, Lawrence Grigg of Cherryville, and Gaston and Toye Grigg, both of Kings Mountain; and four sisters Mrs. Mary McMurray, Mrs. Ocie Gordon, Mrs. Betha Lackey, all of Shelby, and Mrs. David Cabaniss of Cbffside; and a number of grandchildren. Mr. Grigg was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Shelby. MRS. VERGIE CONNER Funeral services for Mrs. Vergie Conner, 69, of Ruther- fordton, mother or Mrs. Gladys Whitaker of Kings Mountain, were conducted Tuesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Rutherford County by Rev. Chester Waters and Rev. Rufus John son, interment following in the church cemetery. Mrs. Conner died Simday morning in Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was widow of Lonnie R. Conner. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Owensby of Gastonia and Mrs. Margaret C. Jones of Rutherfordton; two sons, Claude and Charles Conner, both of Gastonia; one sister, Mrs. Eva Bailey of Cliffside; two half-sisters, Mrs. Virginia Lewis and Mrs. Marie Dob bins, both of Ellenboro; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. JOSHUA W. GILL, JR. Joshua Wilson Gill, Jr., 58, of Clover, S. C., died Tuesday morning in a veterans’ hospi tal in Columbia, S. C. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Zoah AME Zion Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lds Oglesby Gill; his father, Joshua W. Gill, Sr. of Char lotte; three brothers, Bennie and Richard Gill, both of Gas tonia, and Hazel Lee Gill of Kings Mountain; and eight sisters. Miss Viola Gill, Miss Johnny Mae Gill, Miss Lieunice Gill, Mrs. Juanita Smith and Mrs. Naomi Parker, all of Great Neck, New York, and Mrs. Ruby Mongo, Mrs. Bobby Hemphill and Mrs. Alice Caldwell of Charlotte. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 2 p. m. from Zoah AME Zion Church in Kings Creek, S. C. of which he was a member. Rev. Mr. Robinson officiated. In- ta-ment was in the church cemetery. J. W. Gill and Sons Fisieral Home was in charge of arrangements. CLYDE WHITWORTH Funeral services for Clyde Marcus Whitworth, 87, of Rt. 1 Clover, S. C., brother of E. Z. Whitworth of Grover, were held Sunday at 2 p. m. from the Chapel of M. L. Ford and Sons Funeral Home, in terment following in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Also surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta Boheler Whitworth; four sons; one brother, two daughters, one sister nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mr. Whitworth died at his home on Friday.
