C., has been meritoriously promoted to his present rank upon graduation from recruit training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S. C. He received the early promotion for his superior performance during all phases of the ll-week training cycle, which emphasized physical conditioning, self- discipline and teamwork. A 1977 graduate of Bessemer City High School, he joined the Marine Corps in March 1977. REV. Caudle, a graduate of Holmes Seminary, is a general evangelist for the W. N C Conference of the Pen- tecostael Holiness Church. Dover, 415 Cherokee St., Kings Mountain, recently was presented his fourth award of the Army Commendation Medal in Osan, Korea. Ihe medal was awarded for meritorious service. Such service can be over an ex tended period of time or for outstanding achievement in a single situation. In either case, the recipient must have demonstrated skills and ' dedication far above the average. S. Sgt. Dover received the award while assipied as a public affairs office super visor with the 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in Osan. He also holds the Bronze Star Medal.
