Vows Said At Midview Baptist
MISS SARAH VIRGINIA FINOBR
ENGAGED — Mr. and Mrs. Carl Preaton Finger of
Klnga Mountain announce the engagement of their
daughter, Sarah Virginia, to Carroll Henderson
Hamrick, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Henderson
Hamrick, Sr. of Shelby. The bride-to-be Is a 1970
graduate of Kings Mountain High School, a 1974
graduate of Lenoir Rhyne College with B. A. degree and
a 1976 graduate, with M.A., from Western Carolina
Unlverelty. She Is Physical Education Instructor at
Oest Senior High School and coaches Girls Jayvee
basketball and Girls varsity track. Mr. Hamrick Is a
1971 graduate of Crest Senior High and Is employed by
Southern Screen Products In Shelby. Tne wedding will
be an event of Oct. 7 at 4 p. m. In Saint Matthew’s
Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Ethel Wells was
pianist for the program of
nuptial music.

dster to the altar and gave
her In marriage. The
bride’s wedding gown was
a fornud design of white
bridal satin and Rosepolnt
lace featuring V neckline
and long, titered sleeves
enhanced by satin buttons.
A ruffle at the hemline
enhanced the long skirt
which ended In a chapel
train. Her fingertip veil of
Illusion was attached to a
satin headpiece and she
carried a bouquet of blue
Drive Is A Success
The recent Kidney
Foundation of North Caro
lina fund raising drive In
Kings Mountain was a
success, according to Mrs.
Chsu-les Blanton, chairman
of the drive. The drive was
qionsored by the Kings
Mountain Woman’s Club.
’The drive, held Mar<^
17-19, produced a total at
$300 In Kings Mountain.
Money raised In the drive
will be used for research,
public and professional
education programs,
patient services and the
Kl(Mili]|'' Foundation’s-,
organ donation program.
All money received In the
drive Is tax deductible by
the donor.
The Kidney Foundation

corsage from her bridal
bouquet.
