• ^ t ! • DEATHS MEEKHICKMON OROVER-MMk Hlck- mon, 76, died Sunday morning In Cleveland Memorial Hospital. A native of York. 8.C., he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pink Hick- mon. He was a member of Shiloh AME Zion Methodist Church, where he was an arch leader and a former treasurer and Sunday School teacher. Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Annie Mae Byers Hlckmon; four sons, Howard Degree of Rutherfordton, Augusta Degree of Orover, Herbert Hlckmon of Feat Pleasant, Md., and Thomas Hlckmon of the home; three daughters, Elaine Hlck mon of Orover, Mrs. Nina Martin of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Dorothy Huskey of Shelby; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements, which are Incomplete, will be announced by J.W. OUland and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services for William David (Billy) Foster, Jr., 86, of 31.1 Stowe Acres, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Harris Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Jenkins, In terment following In MounUln Rest Cemetery. Mr. Foster died of gunshot wounds Sunday afternoon at 3:16 p.m. at his home. He was a self-employed garage disposal routsman and son of William David Foster, Sr. of Burlington, Wisconsin and Mrs. Violet Farris Foster of Kings Mountain. Also surviving are two sons, Edward RoberU of Qreenvllle.S.C. and William David Foster, m of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Beverly MlcheUe Foster and BlUle Jean Foster, both of Kings Mountain; one half- brother, Thurman Jenkins of Kings Mountain; three Bisters, Mrs. Grace Miller and Mrs. Rose Vesta, both at Kings Mountain, and Mrs. Ruth Ledford of Oreenvllle, S.C.; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Ann Munxer of Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Thomas Cordon of Atlanta, Oa. Harris Funeral Home was In charge of arrangements. MRS. PAVUNE LOWERY Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Wilson Lowery, 68, of Rt. 1, who died Tuesday night In Kings Mountain Hospital, will be conducted Thur sday afternoon at 4 p.m. from Penley's Chapel Methodist Church of which she was a member. In terment following In Mountain Rest Cemetery. Rev. W. Leonard Huff- stetler will officiate at the rites. Wife of Boyce Baxter Lowery, Mrs. Lowery was a native of Carolee, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oeneral Washington Wilson. She was a retired employe of Reeves Brothers. Surviving, In addition to her husband, are one son, Steve Lowery of Kings Mountain; one brother, Joseph Howard Wilson of Kings Mountain; and five grandchildren.
