Book CTub Has Guest Speaker Dr. Margaret Ratterree, psychologist at N.C. Veterans Hospital at Asheville, was gueet bleaker at last Thursday’s Book Club meeting at the home of Miss Annie B. Roberts. Miss Ratterree, who commutes to Oteen five days a week and to Hickory to teach classes, talked of her work with veteran patients at the Western North CaroUna hospital. She took the club members on a tour of Room 30-B, citing examples of several cases In which she counseled patients to “understand themselves’’’ and often times encouraging them to continue their education. She conducted a sertes of questions and answers, , using ths club members In a similar program she conducts with veterans, obtaining their responses. “Ufe U a series of sUpbacks and going for ward’’, she told the club,’’ and It’s a measure of how we adjust ourselves when we have sllpbaeks.’’ Mrs. Lewis Hovls arranged the program.
