The third doubles match between Rick Henderson and Scott Summltt of KM and Pete West and Kevin Burke of Gastonia was rained out In the third set. Kings Mountain, 1-3, travels to Shelby Sunday. The KM netters will sponsor a car wash Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. In the parking lot of the First Wesleyan Church. Cars will be cleaned Inside and out for $3.60. Swimming Lessons To Begin The Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting swimming lessons on Monday and Friday mornings, beginning June 18. Participants will be given Red Cross In struction In basic swim ming skUls. There Is no charge for the lessons, but those wishing to take part must pre-register at Deal Pool between 6 a.m. and noon on June 14 and 16. Learners must be at least six years of age and accompanied by a parent at registration. Boosters To Meet Monday The Mountaineer •Boosters Club will meet Monday at 8 p.m. at the B.N. Barnes Auditorium. President Kyle Smith urges aU members and prospective members to attend. Projects for the 1979-80 school year and the membership drive wUl be discussed. The boosters wUl meet the first and third Mondays of each month at 8 p.m. during the summer months. Davidson Pool Opens Saturday Davidson Park swim ming pool wlU open for the summer season Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Tlie pool hours wUl be 1-6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 2-6 p.m. on Sundays. Invitational Golf Tourney Saturday The annual Kings Mountain Country Club Invitational Golf Tour nament will be held Saturday and Sunday, beginning with an 8:30 teeoff. Entry deadline has been extended until 6 p.m. Friday. Anyone Interested In entering may call pro Rudy Hayes at the pro shop or go by the pro shop.
