Suzanne H. Amos-Grabus and
Donald M. Glymph exchanged
their marriage vows Saturday at
3 p.m. at First Presbyterian
Church in Gastonia. Rev. Frank
Mayes officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Amos of
Kings Mountain and the grand-
daughter of Mrs. M.C. Amos of
Kings Mountain and Mrs. Paul
R. Holland of Gastonia. The
bridegroom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Max Glymph of
Westminster, S.C., and the
grandsont of Mrs. M.J. Stansell
of Westminster.
The bride chose Ms. Marian-
na Davis of Gastonia as her
honor attendant. Max Glymph
was his son’s best man. Ushers
were Joel Thrift of Westminster,
J.D. Haglan of Clemson and
Donald Seng of Seneca.
Out-oftown guests included
the bride’s brother, Captain
James E. Amos of Ft. Dix, N.J.
A reception was given at First
* Presbyterian Church following
the ceremony. Members of the
Pilot Club of Gastonia, of which
the bride is a member, assisted
with the reception.
The couple will make their
new residence in Seneca, S.C.

wedding vows Saturday at 4
p.m. at Johnson C. Smith
University in Charlotte.
Rev. Andrew Cuthbertson,
pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Frank and Mildred Manago of
Charlotte. She is a Cum Laude
graduate of N.C. Central
University with a B.S. degree in
accounting. She is employed as

Miss Kimberly Bridges, bride-
elect of Royce Peeler, was
honored at a “Pantry and
Household” shower on April 21
National Gas Company.
The groom is the son of Carl
and Jimmie Ruth Rhodes of 213
Morris Street, Kings Mountain.
He is a graduate of the Universi-
ty of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill with a B.S. degree in
Biology. He is employed as a col-
or chemist with Midland Divi-
sion of the Dexter Corporation.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her brother, Kenneth
Manago.
The couple will reside in Birm-
ingham, Alabama.

at the home of Mrs. James:

Entertaining with Mrs.
Buyton with Mrs. Guyton were
Mrs. Dewitt Guyton, Mrs. Steve
Boheler, and Mrs. Steve Wilson.
A crystal motif was used. The
refreshment table was centeed
with an arrangement of violet
silk flowers in a basket. The table
was overlaid with a lavender and
white lace tablecloth, carrying
out the wedding colors of
lavender and white. Party pick-
ups were served.
The 40 guests showered Miss
Bridges with gifts for her new
home. The hostesses took the oc-
casion to present the bride-to-be
with the violet silk flower ar-
rangement and a slow-cooker
crock pot.
Kim and Royce will be mar-
ried May 14 at Second Baptist .

Exchange Marriage Vows
Jane Lynn Tate of Crouse and
Bobby Groce Williams of Lin-
colnton were united in marriage
Saturday at Kings Mountain
Baptist Church.
Rev. J.C. Goare, pastor, of-
ficiated. Mrs. J.C. Bridges,
organist, and Miss Holly Dell-
inger, flutist, presented a pro-
gram of wedding music.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Tate
Sr. of 912 Sherwood Lane, Kings
Mountain.” She is "a 1978
graduate of Appalachian State
University with a B.S. degree in
Health Education. She is
employed as an environmentalist
with the Lincoln County Health
Department.
The groom is the son of
Holland G. Williams of Route 1,
Mocksville, and the late Mrs.
Williams. He:is a 1972 graduate
of Davie County High School
and is employed by the North
Carolina Department of
Transportation.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She chose
her sister, Roxanne Tate, as
Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids
were Amber C. Tate of Kings
Mountain and Cindy S. Hord of
“Waco.
Holland Williams served as his
.son’s best man. Ushers were
‘Thomas ‘A. Tate Jr. and Dexter
Cline Tate, both of Kings Moun-
tain, Harvey Williams and Jerry
Seamon of Mocksville and Ken-
neth Williams of Lincolnton.
. The..bride’s parents hosted a
reception following the wedding
~ in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Tate and
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Dellinger
hosted an after-rehearsal party
Friday night at the Dellinger
home. Spring flowers were used
to decorate the dining room
table and throughout the home.
Forty guests served themselves
from the buffet and were seated
in the living room, playroom and
porch.
Following a wedding trip to
Charleston, S.C., the couple will
be at home on Route 1, Crouse.

engagement of their daughter, Kim Annette, to David Bruce
DeVane. son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl DeVane. Both families are of
Kings Mountain. The bride-to-be is a 1980 graduate of Kings
Mountain Senior High School and is currently a junior at UNC-
Charlotte. The prospective bridegroom is a 1980 graduate of
Kings Mountain Senior High School and is currently serving in"
the military, stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. The wedding
will be an event of July 2 at Resurrection Lutheran Church.
