“I’ve always has a great deal of
respect and admiration for Dan
Moore because of his leadership
in education. On the high school
level and college level he has
been a "tremendous asset to
young people particularly in this
region of North Carolina.”
Regarding the Foundation’s
annual giving to young people to
further their education, Lutz
said, “Since the Lutz’ Yelton
Foundation’s conception nine
years ago, the directors have
always felt a strong need to -in-
vest the foundaton’s money very
wisely. We certainly think there
is no better way to invest wisely
than in a scholarship program.
We feel strongly an investment
in the future of young men and
women seeking a better educa-
tion is indeed a wise investment,
and again we are delighted we
are able to broaden the base of
the scholarship program this
year.” By this fall, the Lutz-
Yelton Foundation will be
assisting twenty one young men
