Ll ru“ = - Ra en EEN Former Herald Owner From Page 1-A He was consultant for Southern Railroad land rights and an ap- praiser for the Prudential Life Insurance Company. Ever alert to the needs for the wheels of justice to run -smoothly, Mr. Lynch urged leadership from statesmen, city bankers, manufacturers, and textile ex- ecutives in local politics, urging them to seek and use legal tactics to collect back taxes from store owners, some of the taxes having been in arrears for as long as 40 years. A member of the Kings Mountain Kiwanis Club, Mr. Lynch later brought the Rotary Club to Kings Mountain and served as president for two years. He taught the Bible Class at First Presbyterian Church, serv- ed on the building committee of the present Presbyterian Church, where his membership now stands.
