Ee MARY ANNE WILSON ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED-Mrs. Jane W. Wilson and Donald P. Wilson, Sr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Anne, of North Augusta, S.C., to Erin W. Williams, Jr. of Belvedere, S.C., son of Mr. and Mrs. Erin W. Williams, Sr. of Belvedere, S.C. The wedding will take place March 2, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Augusta, Ga. Miss Wilson is a graduate of North Augusta High School and is presently attending the University of South Carolina at Aiken. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Wilson, Sr. of North Augusta and Mrs. Nancy Patrick Wilson and the late Seth Donald Wilson of Kings Mountain, N.C. Mr. Williams is a graduate of North Augusta High School and is presently employed by E .I. DuPont at Aiken, S.C. He is the grandson of Fred E. Williams and the late Mrs. Lelia Walker Williams of Belvedere, S.C. and Mrs. Ruth B. Miller and the late Carl T. Miller of Augusta, Ga. Beta Epsilon Looks Back At Old Days The members of Beta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met at the Resurrection Lutheran Church of Kings Mountain on Saturday, November 17, at noon for a lun- cheon 'meeting.; Hostessés were Kings Mountain members. The tables were beautifully decorated with colorful Fall flowers, which were chrysan- themums in pumkin containers. The invocation was given by Kay Jolly, after which a delicious Thanksgiving lunch was enjoyed. Carol Parker brought greetings. For the program entitled “Looking Back-What Makes The Good Old Days So Wonder- ful?” the following charter members were honored: Mrs. Vera B. Hoyle, Mrs. Maude K. Carter, Miss Julia Renfro, Miss Kate Whitworth and Mrs. Jen Williams of Cherryville; Mrs. Lena B. Carpenter, Miss Alina Kiser and Mrs. Ellen T. Sisk of Bessemer City; Mrs. Talthia Houser and Miss Sarah Roof of Lincolnton; Miss Gressie Huff- stetler, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Gam- ble, Mrs. Margaret McGinnis, Miss Annie B. Roberts and Mrs. Helen G. Neal of Kings Moun- tain. Other charter members, Miss Margretta Seagle, Miss Sarah Yoder and Mrs. Edna Coon were absent. Each charter member was presented a lovely rose corsage. Plonk, III, local businessman, has been named chairman of the Kings Mountain Jaycee Jelly Week by Brad Tate, President of the Kings Mountain Jaycees. Mr. Plonk will head the local drive during the week of Dec. 4th through Dec. 11th to raise money for the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at Chapel Hill. . A goal of 1,200 jars of jelly has been set for Kings Moun- tain. The jelly is one dollar per jar with 100 percent of the pro- ceeds going to the Burn Center. "The Burn Center and the many burn victims depend on the suc- cess of the jelly sale, says Plonk, . who encourages Kings Moun- tain citizens to support the pro- ject. President Tate says the Kings Mountain Jaycees would like to thank all the people of Kings Mountain for their help and sup- port.
