The play is staged in the Mid- dle Earth and employs fantastic scenes with the title role of “Hobbit” portrayed effectively by Chip Caldwell with Matthew Bradshaw in the supporting role of the wizard, Gandalf. The cast includes 13 dwarfs, numerous trolls, goblins and other hideous monsters who weave through the scenes in fantastic array and in fantastic costumes, according to the students.
