Bennett Masters, owner of the funeral home on Shelby Road, said that vandals recently cut Masters Funeral Home Tents with knives. He said that numerous tents have been damaged by van- - dals and that also recently sample monuments were stolen from his property. Masters has returned home from Baptist Hospital at Winston Salem after treat- ment of blocked arteries to his heart. He was hospitaliz- ed in Shelby and Charlotte before being transferred to Winston Salem. He continues to recuperate at home and said he appreciated the many friends who had called and sent cards.
