the KM Board of Realtors.
Guests enjoyed tossed
garden salad, top round of
beef, baked chicken with wild
rice and gravy, green beans
almondine, mashed potatoes
with sour cream and chives,
broccoli normandy, hot rolls,
and cherry parfait in a Valen-
tine setting. Tables were
decorated with red streamers
down the center with bows at
table ends and the central
decoration was a valentine
red and white arrangement
on the speaker’s table. A new
gold, blue and white KM
Board of Realtors banner
was behind the podium and
was presented to Secretary
Larry Hamrick, Sr., to be us-
ed at monthly meetings of the
KM Board.

tober 15, 1985 are eligible to
register for kindergarten.
Parents may pick up applica-
tion and medical forms from
the elementary school in
their school district.
If parents do not know
which school their child will
attend, they may call the

Schools Administration Of-

Blanton, a former teacher of Mr. Alexander’s in third grade,

Reg Alexander, owner and
operator of Regal Ventures, a
Christian ministry to youth in
downtown Kings Mountain,
‘was guest speaker at the re-
cent meeting of Beta Chi
Chapter of Alpha Delta Kap-
pa at the home of Mrs.
Howard Bryant.
Alexander also entertained
the group with musical selec-
tions and talked on ‘‘Heavy
Thoughts On The Lighter
Side’’. He stressed that
“communication is most im-
portant between students and
teachers” and said that the
best lesson students can learn
is ‘the biggest restrictions
«we ever have are the restric-
tions we place on ourselves.’’
Alexander, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Alexander, was
introduced by his former
third grade teacher, Miss
Jackie Blanton, who arrang-
ed the program. Miss Blanton
said Alexander was one of
her most ‘‘creative
students.”
Lina Owens, reporting on
the Altruistic efforts of the

Bessemer City, has arrived
for duty at RAF Mildenhall,
England.
Reel, a linguist with the
6988th Electronic Security
Squadron, was previously
assigned at Goodfellow Air
Force Base.
He is a 1982 graduate of
Bessemer City High School.

Myers, of Route 3, received
his B.S. in Math Sciences
from the University of North
Carolina recently.
He was among Fall
graduates, who also included

Shelby. Floyd
received a B.S. in Geology.

Sisters giving approximately
201 hours in service to others
and providing scholarship
funds in addition to giving to
other worthy causes.
The March meeting of ADK
will focus on another of
ADK’s major concerns, Boys
and Girls Homes and Sisters
from four chapters will join
together to hear Chris Jer-
nigan report on the Homes’
present needs and concerns.
Members will bring gifts for
children presently living in
the homes.

Funeral Home Tents
Sliced, Reward Offered
Masters Funeral Home has
posted a $500 reward for in-
- formation leading to the ar-
rest and conviction of the per-
son or persons who damaged
tents placed over graves in
Mountain Rest Cemetery.
Bennett Masters, owner of
the funeral home on Shelby
Road, said that vandals
recently cut Masters Funeral
Home Tents with knives. He
said that numerous tents
have been damaged by van-
- dals and that also recently
sample monuments were
stolen from his property.
Masters has returned home
from Baptist Hospital at
Winston Salem after treat-
ment of blocked arteries to
his heart. He was hospitaliz-
ed in Shelby and Charlotte
before being transferred to
Winston Salem. He continues
to recuperate at home and
said he appreciated the many
friends who had called and
sent cards.
