1 KKI WALLACE ...Dream Girl Nikki Winner Nikkie Wallace entered the Miss Winter Wonderland Pageant in Denver, N.C. Feb. 23 and won the title of Dream Girl. She also was Tiny Miss Talent and Runner up in both Beauty and Sportswear divi- sions. On Sunday, Marth 10th, she entered the Queen of South Carolina pageant in Green- ville and was first runner up in beauty and photogenic . divisions. She .is the four-year-old daughter of Rhonda Wallace of Kings Mountain and Bill Wallace of Gastonia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sisk of Kings Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. William Wallace of Gastonia. Nikki is a student of Joan McClure School of Dance. Program Scheduled A public education pro- gram entitled ‘The Amazing Infant’ will: be presented on ‘Saturday, ‘March 23rd, 9:30 a.m.-12:00 noon in the Youth Lounge at Shelby Presbyterian Church. The Program is being sponsored y Consumers for Childbirth Choices of Cleveland and Rutherford Counties, a member of the International Childbirth Education Association. Natasha Hayes, M.D., Pediatrician, will present the Physical Development of the Infant; Common Problems in Infancy; and Physical Exam of the Infant (with a live demonstration). Elaine Kistler, M.A. Psychologist, and Jean Horne,. Developmental Disabilities Specialist - both from the Developmental Evaluation Center - will pre- sent Social Development and Infant Stimulation. The program is free and open to the public. Child care will be available on the premises at a cost of $1.00/child. Seminar Scheduled Lighthouse ~ Christian Ministry to Singles will spon- sor a Temperment Seminar on Sat., March 23, beginning at 3 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. “The seminar is open to all who care to learn more about their behavioural patterns in order to enhance their own personal development to the glory of God,” said Rev. Gene Land. Cost for the " seminar and materials is $5 and space is limited. Rev. Land To Lead Tour Rev. Gene Land, pastor of Second Baptist Church, will lead a group tour to Israel, Athens and Corinth, depar- ting on March 5, 1986. If you are interested in join- ing the group to the Holy Land, call the church office for reservations and more in- formation about the trip. Chastity Moss Wins Trophies Chastity Moss, daughter of Mickey and Linda Moss, competed in two Little Miss Beauty Pageants during the past two weekends. In the Little Miss Queen of South Carolina contest in Greenville, she was runner- up in the Beauty division. In the Miss Southern Charm Pageant in Hickory, she was runner-up in the Talent divi- sion. Contestants are judged in these pageants on beauty, poise, personality, party dress, personal interviews and talent competition and on modeling ability. CHASTITY MOSS Residents of Kings Moun- tain Convalescent Center will rock for the Heart Fund on Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at a Rock-N-Roll Jam- boree at the nursing facility. Patients in rocking chairs will be obtaining sponsors for the big benefit which will in- clude special entertainment throughout the day, arts and crafts made by the patients, and hot dogs with all the trim- mings from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 1985-KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Page 3B Rock-N-Roll Jamboree To Benefit Heart Fund A free blood pressure clinic will also be available to everyone attending the jam- boree.
