A theft of $3,000 worth of
tools, other larcenies and rob-
beries, and four traffic ac-
cidents kept Kings Mountain
police busy during the past
week.
Machine and Fabrication
Company of 506 East King
Street reported that someone
came through the roof of its
building and stole an assort-
ment of tools valued at over
$3,000.
Katherine Wade of 211
McGill Court reported the
theft of a billfod containing
$146.
Dean Stamper of 717 Lan-
ding Street, reported the
larceny of a computer valued
at $240.
Willie Runyans of 816 First
Street reported the theft of
$500 worth of fishing equip-
ment.
Danny Ward of 48 Pine
Manor reported that two sub-
jects robbed him at knife-
point of $100 cash.

West Gold Street reported the
theft of $40 and a .22 calibre
pistol. ;
Rosanne Wheeler of 304
East Parker Street reported
that someone broke a glass in
her door. Damage was $75.
Charles Bridges of 1 Ben-
nett Drive reported that so-
meone broke into this house
and took $400, a metal box
and some personal papers.

it was parked at the Moss

that two juveniles checked
out 88 library books valued at

someone kicked in her utility
room doors, doing $250
damage, and stole an antique

Setzer’s 1976 Buick was

An unknown vehicle struck
a parked vehicle owned by

wood Lane Saturday at 11:45
p.m. in the parking lot of
McDonald’s. Damage to the
1983 Toyota was $200.

Cancer Fund Drive
Kings Mountain Senior
High Fellowship of Christian
Athletes is sponsoring a fund
raising drive for the
American Cancer Society
this week and students are
sending a Mouse To
College” by donating $1.75
each toward a $1500 goal.
Jill Brooks, president of the
FCA, said that Kings Moun-
tain citizens are encouraged
to support the effort and that
all funds will remain in
Cleveland County to help
cancer patients of the area.
She said students raising the
most money will receive cash
prizes, free tee shirts, and
free food and the winning
homeroom that coliects the
most money in the four
classes will get plaques and
trophies from the American
Cancer Society. She said that
persons who buy gasoline
from Lutz Oil on Saturday
from 8 to 5:30 p.m. and in-
form gas attendants of the
project will earn five cents
from each gallon of gasoline
urchased for the cancer
und of students.
