RUSTY BAUMGARDNER (Tammy Michele Beattie) Depot Ceremony Unites Beattie-Baumgardner Pair The rustic setting of the historic Kings Mountain Depot was the setting June 15th for the wedding of Miss Tammy Michele Beattie and Charles Rusty Baumgardner. Rev. Johnny Costner, pastor of Landmark Baptist Church, of Bessemer City, heard the exchange of vows in the presence of the im- mediate families and close friends. : The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald K. Beattie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a graduate of Air Academy High School, Colorado Spr- ings. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ross Baumgard- ner of Kings Mountain, at- tended the U.S. Naval Academy Prep School, and N.C. State University and graduated May 30th from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Spr- ings, Col. where he was com- missioned a Second Lieute- nant in the USAF and will be stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. McKINNEY (Carolyn Brown) Rose Garden Ceremony Unites The McKinneys The Rose Garden of Gardner-Webb College at Boiling Springs provided the setting for the June 16th wed- ding of Carolyn Brown and William Samuel McKinney. Rev. E.D. Brantley heard the exchange of vows in the 6 p.m. ceremony. : Risa Pless was pianist for the program of nuptial music and vocal selections were by Laura Price and Georgia Guest. The bride was given in marriage by her son, Guan Childers. Benjamin McKin- ney of Forest City, brother of the bridegroom was best man. Joyce Coleman attended the bride as matron of honor. Turn To Page 3-B Bowen-Nolen Couple Exchange Marriage Vows Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Polkville was the setting June 9th for the wed- ding of Miss Beverly Denise Bowen and George Perry Nolen. The Rev. Billy M. Bowen heard the couple exchange vows of the double ring ceremony in the impressive Unity candle service. Anarch of candles with palms in the background and a central ar- rangement of rainbow col- ored flowers enhanced the setting. Dennis Huffstickler was pianist and Judy Green and Connie Conner were vocalists for the program of wedding music. They sang “To Me” and ‘‘Let It Be Me.” Billy M. Bowen escorted his daughter to the altar and gaye her in marriage. The ride’s wedding gown was a formal design of chiffon and lace over bridal satin. The gown was designed with fit- ted bodice, puff sleeves and a Chapel length train. The scoop neckline, sleeves, skirt and train were accented with Chantilly lace and seed pearls. The veil of French tulle was attached to a bandeau of miniature roses and pearls and accented with Turn To Page 3-B
