%, > ¥ From Page 1-B Cindy Bredinger of Mount Holly was the bride’s maid of honor and bridemaids were Gina Melton of Gastonia, Sharon Beaver of Gastonia, Renee Addock of Belmont and Michelle Stephens of Gastonia, sister of the bride, who was junior bridesmaid. All the attendants wore long peach formals which featured ruffled skirts, short sleeves and low necklines. The attendants carried mat- ching bouquets. The Junior bridesmaid carried an um- brella with peach flowers at- tached to the handle. Ginger McDonald was flower girl and Kenny Self, Jr. nephew of the bridegroom, was ringbearer. Carl Self of Gastonia was his son’s best man. Ushers were Steve Wilson of Gastonia, Ja.nes Self, the bridegroom’s cousin, of Gastonia, and Douglas Stephens, Jr. and Scott Stephens, both of Gastonia, brothers of the bride. Judy Wallace presided at the register. The bride’s mother was gowned in a dress of baby blue and the bridegroom’s mother chose a mauve for- mal overlaid with lace. They wore white corsages. Joni Wallace distribuied rice bags to reception guests and Mrs. Kenneth Eudy presided at the register. Judy Wallace cut and served the wedding cake and Millie Parties Honor Couple Susan Martin Beard and Robert Sommers Maner were honored at several parties prior to their wedding day June 30th. Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. . Neisler and their Son, Lee Sommers Neisler, entertain- ed together June 98th at a din- ner party honoring the couple at Gaston Country Club. Spr- ing flowers and pastel colors decorated the dining tables. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Maner, pores of the prospective ridegroom, and Mrs. George L.S. Scharf entertain- ed the couple at the rehearsal dinner on June 29th at Kings Mountain’s Holiday Inn. Spr- ing flowers and the wedding colors were combined in the decorations. The wedding of Susan Beard and Robert S. Maner took place June 30th at 3 p.m. in Shelby’s First Baptist Church. Charleston Tour Set By Gaston Gaston College is sponsor- ing a tour to historic Charleston, South- Carolina on Friday, Saturday and Sun- day, September 13, 14 and 15. The tour will include round: trip motorcoach transporta- tion, first class accommoda- tions for two nights, room tax and baggage handling, ad- mission to Middleton oT Plantation and to Fort Sumter. A tour of historic old Charleston and a historic homes tour. There also in- cludes insurance and a Gaston College escort for the entire tour. The tour will depart from Gaston College at approx- imately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13 and will return to Gaston College at approx- imately 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, September 15. Stops for meals and rest will made on both trips to and from Charleston. The cost, single occupancy is $170, double occupancy $130.
