Is Studying KM Cemetery Report District Attorney Marty Shuford is continuing to study an SBI report on the opera- tion of the city-owned Moun- tain Rest Cemetery. He said no decision has been reached on whether or not to seek grand jury pro- ceedings in the case. The SBI report is the result of a three month probe and audit of city records covering the operation of the cemetery. Thursday, August 8, 1985-KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Page 5A Larceny, Shoplifting Reported Several reports of larceny and shoplifting were made to Kings Mountain Police dur- ing the past week and one person was arrested in a shoplifting incident. Marty Blanton, Secretary to Chief J.D. Barrett, reported the following com- plaints: Danny Bailes, Route 3, reported that two tires and wheels were taken from his vehicle at Sadie Mill. Estimated loss was $200. A total of $450 damage was done to the doors of the Kings Mountain Community Center, Cleveland Ave., dur- ing a breaking and entering attempt last week. Richard and Margaret Lane, 1401 Merrymount Drive, reported that their 1984 Plymouth Colt valued at $5,000 was stolen from their driveway. The license number of the car is EHKaX 524. Annie Phillips, 113 S. Gaston St., reported an at- tempted breaking and enter- ing of her residence. A win- dow was broken out. Mark Fitzgerald, 407 War- ren St., Shelby, reported that a $60 money order was taken from his car parked at Cleve- mont Mill. Roxie Gregory, Gastonia, reported that a power booster and tapes were stolen from her car parked at Certex Mill. Sandy Earl, Route 1, Grover, reported that a baby car seat valued at $50 was Falls Exxon Robbed Monday . A strong-arm robbery was reported at J.B. Falls Exxon on York Road Monday. According to Sheriff’s Department reports, two men and a woman entered the station and one of the men went into the office and allegedly took a money bag containing an undisclosed amount of money from the desk. The investigation is conti- nuing.
