Springtime
Event Set
Schiele Museum will
celebrate Springtime on the
Backcountry Farm Sunday
from 2-5 p.m. at the museum
at 1500 Garrison Blvd.,
Gastonia.
The pioneer farm site will
feature a bevy of seasonal
farm activities. Sheepshear-
ing, spinning and weaving
will carry wool from sheep to
shawl. Children will enjoy
meeting Harriett, the ewe,
and her two new lambs. Signs
of the season will be apparent
in the field and herb garden.
Visitors may also enjoy the
18th century refreshments
being served to celebrate
Schiele’s 25th anniversary.

Guard Armory on June 18
from 9-11 a.m. Persons must
meet all of the following re-
quirements before receiving
commodities.
The applicant must be at
least 60 years of age and have
a Senior Tar Heel Card in
possession at distribution
time.

ner and Evan Milas Patter-

Miss Biddix is the daughter
of Wilbert and Barbara Bid-
dix and her major will be
