KATHLEEN SISK
Funeral services for Mrs.
Kathleen Russ Sisk, 68, of
1213 Dodd St., Shelby, who
died Wednesday in the
Cleveland Memorial
Hospital, were conducted
Friday at 3 p.m. from New
Bethel Missionary Methodist
Church by Rev. Charles B.
Horn and Rev. T.W.
Lovelace, interment follow-
ing in St. Paul United
Methodist Church Cemetery.
A Cleveland County native,
she was a retired employee of
Lily Mill Co.
She was the daughter of the
late Silas B. and Florence
Sisk Russ and widow of
George P. Sisk.
Surviving are a son,
Johnny G. Sisk of Kings
Mountain; a daughter, Essie
Mae Davis of Shelby; a
sister, Pauline Russ Peeler of
- Shelby; 16 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
SARAH R. HASTY
CHARLOTTE - Sarah
Roberts Hasty, 81, of 1906
Kinwood Avenue, died at her
home on June 18.
She was the daughter of the
late Ross Roberts and Della
Francis Roberts of Kings
Mountain.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Raymond Hasty; two
sons, Glyn Hasty and Thomas
Hasty, both of Charlotte; one
daughter, Mrs. Francis Sut-
ton of Chapel Hill; two
brothers, Forrest C. Roberts
of Gastonia and Eugene
Roberts of Kings Mountain;
and one sister, Annie B.
Roberts of Kings Mountain.
Services were held Friday
at11 a.m. at Midwood Baptist
Church in Charlotte. Burial
was in Hollywood Cemetery
in Charlotte.

Bessemer City, who died
Tuesday in the Cleveland
Memorial Hospital, were con-
ducted Friday at 2 p.m. from
First Baptist Church of
Bessemer City by Rev.
George Simmons and Rev.
Eddie Grigg, interment
following in Westview
Gardens. ;
Mr. Davis was a Lincoln
County native, son of the late
Garmon C. and Minnie
Lovelace Davis.
Surviving are his wife, Bet-
ty Weaver Davis; four sons,
Hershel N. Davis, Jr. of
Kings Mountain, Roger L.
Davis and Buddy D. Davis of
Belmont and Chester G.
Davis of Gastonia; a stepson,
Steven Ingle of Kings Moun-
tain; four daughters, Aileen
D. Doty of Newton, Shirley D.
Carpenter, Catherine D. Gib-
son of Shelby and Donna D.
Morehead of Kings Moun-
tain; a stepdaughter, Debbie
Welsh of Georgetown, Calif.,
three brothers, Franklin
Davis and Norman Davis,
both of Kings Mountain and
Glenn Davis of Grover; and
five sisters, Dorothy Grigg of
Waco, Rachel Costner of
Cherryville, Sylvia Grigg,
Eunice Horn and Mazelle
Justice, all of Kings Moun-

Oxford.

Mrs. Bridges was widow of
James A. Bridges and
daughter of the late James
and Mary Butler McCarter.
She was a retired textile
employee.
Surviving are two
daughters, Diane England
and Nadine Wyatt, both of
Kings Mountain, a brother,
James McCarter of
Bessemer City; a sister, Ada
Stroupe of Bessemer City and
four grandchildren.

Edwin Montjoy, 69, of
Charlotte, who died June 19
at home at 7:20 p.m., were
conducted Saturday at 12:30
from West Chapel of McEwen
Funeral Home, interment
following in Kings
Mountain’s Mountain Rest
Cemetery.
Mr. Montjoy, a former resi-
dent of Kings Mountain, had
been employed by Celanese
Corporation for 19 years
before retirement in 1979. He
was a member of Woodlawn
Baptist Church and a Royal
Arch Mason.
Surviving are his wife,
Lucille Montjoy; one
daughter, Mrs. Betty Millen
of Cayce, S.C., one brother,
Cecil Montjoy of Raleigh;
two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen
Hall of Burlington and Mrs.
Louise Painter of Kings
Mountain; and two grand-
daughters, Cheri Foster and
Renee Millen.

Sisely Kibler, 83, of 107 N.
Watterson St., who died
Thursday in Cleveland

from Mount Zion Baptist
Church by Rev. J.H. Little-
john.
A native of York County,
S.C., she was the widow of
Selvin Kibler and the
daughter of the late Rev.
William and Maggie Guy Pat-
ton. She was a member of
Mount Zion Baptist Church,
where she was a deaconess,
the Eva Hopper Missionary
Group and the Heroines of
Jericho.
Surviving are her brother,
Guy Patton of Gastonia; and
a sister, Katie Lowery of
Stanley.

Marvin Wright, 71, of 406 N.
Battleground Ave., who died
Tuesday at home, were con-
ducted Thursday morning at
11 o’clock from First
Presbyterian Church of
which he was a member.
Dr. Eric Faust officiated at
the rites and interment was
in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Wright was a
Cleveland County native,
retired textile supervisor,
and son of the late N.A. and
Sally Bright Wright.
Surviving are his wife,
Mildred Hamrick Wright;
one daughter, Patsy Ganous
of Laurinburg; three
brothers, N.A. Wright, Jr. of
Cherryville, Austin Wright of
Lexington and Carroll Wright
of Mount Holly; five grand-
children and four great-
grandchildren.

the Betty Ballard Kitchen
Fund of First Presbyterian
Church.
ANNIE BOHELER
Annie Martin Boheler, 75,
of 5080 Midpines, died Tues-
at Kings Mountain Con-
day
valescent Center.
A native of York County,
S.C., she was the daughter of
the late John and Ann E.
Faysoux Martin. She was the
widow of the late Johnson
Herbert Boheler and was a
retired textile employee.
She is survived by two
daughters, Helen Moss and
Janice Harding, both of
Kings Mountain; six grand-
children; and three great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held Friday at 4 p.m. at Mid-
view Baptist Church by the
Rev. John Fraizer. Burial
will be in Canaan Methodist
Church Cemetery in
Blacksburg, S.C.
The family will receive
friends Thursday from 7-9
p.m. at Harris Funeral
Home.
