schedule 6 drug, marijuana,
possession with intent to
manufacture, sell and deliver

Lisa Diane Phillips, 21, 906
Grace St., felonious posses-
sion with intent to sell and
deliver schedule 2 drug,
maintaining: a dwelling for
purpose of storage, selling
and delivering cocaine,
possession of drug

David Stephen Hamrick,
20, 24 Bennett Dr., and Route
1, Blacksburg, S.C., posses-
sion with intent to sell and
deliver controlled substance,
two counts, $4,000 secured
bond. Hamrick was arrested
at Mustang 66 Service Sta-
tion.
A vehicle operated by Erin
Christopher Sumnar, 23,
struck a city patrol car
operated by Benny Melvin on
Piedmont Avenue December
12. Sumnar was charged with
DWI and also with possession
of schedule 2 drugs.
Charlie Wayne Phillips, 22,
Route 3, simple possession of
amphetamines and in-
timidating a state witness.
Darrell Edmond Thomp-
son, 22, 410 Belvedere Circle,
possession with intent to
manufacture, sell and deliver
schedule 2 drug, cocaine,
$3,000 secured bond.
Troy Wayne Worcester, 23,
407 Baker St., sell and
delivery of marijuana, one
count, and possession with in-
tent to sell. ;
Kimberly Dawn ‘Cookie’
Lowe, 18, of 1308 Shady Oaks
Trail, Gastonia, was charged
on one count of conspiracy to
traffic concaine and one
count of felonious trafficking
of cocaine. She was placed
under $2,000 secured bond.
Trial date is December 17.
Police Charge Drivers
After Automobile Wrecks
Police cited several drivers
for safe movement violations
after wrecks during the
weekend.
Philip Dean Robbins,
Route 2, operating a 1977
Ford which was damaged
$1,000, was cited for safe
movement violation after his
car, making a left turn from
Southwoods onto Phifer
Road, struck a 1970 Ford
operated by Michael Edward
Bolin, Route 4, which was
damaged $1500.
Raymond Sean Garris, of
310 Walker St., was cited by
Ptl. Charles Bundrick for
safe movement violaton after
a two vehicle wreck at the
parking lot of the KMHS auto
mechanics building. Accor-
ding to police reports, the
1967 Mustang operated by
Teresa Batchler, 1240 Mid-
pines, was turning into the
parking lot when it was it by a
1982 Pontiac operated ‘by
Garris. Damage was $1000 to
the Garris car and $500 to the
Batchler car.
Hongthong Saypanya, 520
Harmon Court, operating a
1979 Ford belong to Boumy
Manomay, turned left in front
of a 1985 Chevrolet operated
by Krista Blanton Smith, 605
W. Mountain St., at the in-
tersection of King and
Cansler streets. The cars
were damaged $350. Smith
was traveling west on King
and Saypanya was stopped at
the light.
Police cited Joseph
Gregory Williams, 1404 Mer-
rimont Drive, with running a
red light at the intersection of
"Mountain and Watterson
streets. The 1987 Williams
Chevrolet struck a 1980 Dat-
sun operated by Shannon
Hayes Smith, 604 Bridges
Drive, doing $1,000 damage.
Police cited Selma Gantt
Jolly, Shelby Road, with im-
proper backing after she
backed her 1982 Ford LTD
from a private drive and into
a 1976 Pontiac owned by
Clyde P. Blackwell, 301
Walker St., doing $450 to his
car. Mrs. Jolly said she pull-
ed into the driveway to avoid
a road construction due to a
broken water main.
Douglas Maurice Moore,
Route 1, operating a 1987
Mercury, told police he hit his
brakes to avoid hitting a child
in the curve of North
Railroad Avenue and the car
slid off the highway and into a
fence, doing $700 damage.

Vandals kicked in the front
door of Mountain Video on
East King and Canterbury
Road Monday night and took
a 14” Sharp color TV and
VCR valued at $475.
Several other reports of
damage to property and theft
from vehicles were reported
by police:
Louise Tucker, 117 Owens
St., reported that a small
clutch bag containing $45 was
removed from her car parked
at the KM Post Office.
Cora Page, 307 Blanton St.,
reported that a car hit her
fence, doing $100 damage.
KM Express Store reported
that a drunk driver ran his
vehicle off the sidewalk and
into the front door of the
business, knocking the door
off the hinges. The police
report stated that the front
‘door had been propped open
with a trash can.
Helen Sue Blanton, 409 W.
she was Christmas shopping
at Eckerd’s.
Tossha R. Daniels, 402
Walnut St., reported theft of
wheelcovers from her car
parked at the auto mechanics
building at KMHS.
Daniel Eugene Loftin, 415
Bennett St., reported theft of
centerpieces from his car
parked at Clevemont Mills.
Jean Elgin Robinson, 22
Bennett Drive, reported a
pocketbook containing $20
was stolen from her car park-
ed at 208 Bridges St.
Clyde Franklin Huffstetler,
903 Rhodes Avenue, reported
theft of a $700 toolbox from
his carport.
Josh Gann, 602 Bridges
Drive, reported theft of a
Huffy 24” bicycle valued at
$100.
Four people were arrested.
David Wayne Snyder, 35, of
1517 Downs Ave., Charlotte,
was charged with DWI and
carrying a concealed
Gold St., reported theft of a weapon. Trial date is
battery from her car while January 27.
