TOMMY I KING ..at 30th anniversary party ’ Kings honored Saturday evening on 30th wedding anniversary Tommy and Patricia Lewis King celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary Saturday night at a surprise supper and party hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, T. J. and Christy King. The Kings were honored at supper earlier in the evening at The Wood Shed in.Stanley and lat- er surprised when they all returned to the T. J. King home by 30 relatives and formily friends with cake and ice cream. Daughter of Mrs. Jessie Lewis and the late Henry Lewis, Mrs. King is employed by Cleveland County Mental Health Department. King, son of the late Ellis and Maude King of Kings Mountain, is a Cleveland Couty magistrate. He is also a Boy Scout Commissioner in the Piedmont Boy Scout Council. CHARLES AND LOUISE OLIVER .. at wedding June 20, 1947 CHARLES AND LOUISE OLIVER ..at 50th wedding anniversary 1997 Olivers honored on June 21 on their Golden Wedding Day Charles Junior Oliver and Louise Blackwell Oliver celebrated their golden wedding anniversary June 21. They were married June 20, 1947 in Gaffney, SC. The. couple renewed their vows at' Pecan Grove FE. W. B. Church. Rev. Timothy Hargrave of- ficiated the 3 p.m. ceremony. A reception was held after the ceremony. The couple has seven children: Ronald Oliver of Grover; Gloria Roper, Donna Wilson and Ricky Oliver, all of Kings Mountain; Kathy Frye of Gastonia; Rodger Oliver of Supply and Michelle Hargrave of Bessemer City. They also have 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.--- Mr. OLiver is retired from Vulcan Materials i in Blacksburg,SC where he was a crane operator. Mrs. Oliver is retired from Black Welders in Cherryville where she was a textile employee. They are both members of Family Praise and Worship in Shelby. Dick Hamrick will be DJ and admission is $3 per person. Several Celanese line dancers will teach simple dances such as Watermelon Crawl and Texas Scuff and other favorites will in- clude the Electric Slide and Macarena. The dance will be held from 7-10 p.m. Popcorn and soft drinks will be available. July 3,1997 Birthday JAMIE SHANE BAREFOOT Jamie Shane Barefoot Jamie Shane Barefoot, son of Chris and Christina Barefoot of Bessemer City, was two years old June 22, 1997. He celebrated with a party with family and friends. A Barney cake and other refresh- ments were served. Jamie is the grandson of Bobby and Joann Short of Kings Mountain and Robert Barefoot of Bessemer City and the late Joann Barefoot. Great-grandparents are the late Mills and Carrie Short, Bonnie Taylor of Kings Mountain and the late Carter Taylor, and Effie Mae Barefoot of Benson and the late Erick Barefoot.
