July 10, 2008 LIFE HE TYLES The Kings Mountain Herald Chrystal Darlene Heffner and Jonathan Robert Sanders, both of Kings Mountain, exchanged marriage vows at 5 p-m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Bessemer City Church of God, Bessemer City. Rev. Don Capell officiated. Donavan Sigmon, pianist, pre- sented wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Billy and Dianne Heffner of 1702 Trexler Street, Gastonia. She is the granddaughter of the late Paul and Amy Heffner of Gastonia and the late David and Lottie Crouse of Pumpkin Center. The groom is the son of David and Ann Sanders of 713 Huntingtowne Drive, Kings SOCIAL BRIEFS Mountain. He is the grandson of Shirley W. Blanton of Kings Mountain and the late Ben Robert and Orean Sanders of Kings Mountain. The bride was given in mar- riage by her father, Billy Heffner. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Michelle Smith of Gastonia and Kim Pendleton of York, SC, sisters of the bride, were Matrons of Honor. Bridesmaids were Gretchka Mair of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Charity Heffner of Gastonia, and Holly Leach of Kings Mountain. Emma Smith of Gastonia and Brooke Pendleton of York, SC, were flower girls. Ring bearer was Austin Leach of Kings Mountain. David Robert Sanders, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joshua Smith of Gastonia, and Mark Roper, Lindell Zanders and David Clark, all of Kings Mountain. Parents of the bride, Billy and Dianne Heffner hosted the wedding reception at Bessemer City Church of God, Bessemer City. Parents of the groom, David and Ann Sanders hosted the rehearsal dinner at Surf and Turf Lodge, Bessemer City. After a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach, the couple resides in Kings Mountain. Heffmer-Sanders exchange vows Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Robert Sanders (Chrystal Heffner Sanders) Quilts and needlework exhibit at KM Museum The Kings Mountain Historical Museum’s current exhibit, “A Stitch in Time: Quilts and Needlework Pre 1960,” will run through August 23. The exhibit features decora- tive as well as utilitarian quilts dating from the 1840s. Needlework examples include embroidery, crewel, crochet and needlepoint. : The Museum is located at 100 East Mountain Street. KMAC is also offering art and pottery classes and other art exhibits by local and regional artists. The Fireside Gallery fea- tures art of the late A.B. Mauney Snow.
