Over 70 Kings Mountain
High JV and varsity football
players have spent the last sev-
eral weeks getting ready for the
start of official practice on
August 1.
The Mountaineers will con-
tinue conditioning and 7-on-7
drills through today. Next week
- “will be an off week while their
coaches are attending the annu-
al NC Coaches Clinic in
Greensboro.
On Thursday morning
Boiling Springs, SC, will be at
Kings Mountain for a seven-on-
seven. On Tuesday
Wednesday, July 29-30, the
Mountaineers will go through a
two-day mini-camp, and they
will officially begin pre-season
practice on Friday, August 1.
The varsity will practice during
the morning and the JVs during
the afternoon.
The Mountaineers will partic-
ipate in four scrimmages this
year:
Tuesday, August 12 — Kings
Mountain and North
*Mecklenburg at South
Mecklenburg.
Thursday, August 14 -
Ashbrook at Kings Mountain.
Saturday, August 16 — Kings
Mountain vs. North Gaston in
Gaston County Jamboree at
East Gaston.
Friday, August 22 — Kings
Mountain vs. Lexington (8 p.m.)
in the Cleveland County
Jamboree at Crest. Other games
there are Burns vs. Hunter Huss
and -
at 6 p.m., Shelby vs. East Gaston
at 7 p.m., and Crest vs. Hickory
at9 p.m.
The Mountaineers open their
season Friday, August 29 at
Hunter Huss.
