The employees’ garden at Kings Mountain Technology Center is taking shape this week.
The 72 employees of
Kings Mountain Technol-

garden for the second year
and giving it to the needy.
Weather permitting, the
volunteers at Disney will
start working nearly an
acre behind the plant this
week and are expecting to
harvest twice the amount of
vegetables this year, Toma-
toes, squash, cucumbers,
peppers, and cabbage are
just a few of the vegetables
they expect to grow.

Valdese Weavers names
three new positions
As Valdese Weavers
continues its growth trajec-
tory, spurred by the acqui-
sition in January of Dicey
Mills in Shelby, the com-
pany names three new po-
sitions at the corporate and
the brand level.

Mountain is part of North
Carolina's textile legacy.
As the grandson of Dicey
Mills founders Paul M. and

he's spent a lifetime in the
warp and weft business.
His father, the late Henry
P. Neisler, was Dicey's
longtime president and
CEO. Neisler joined Val-
dese Weavers this year as
vice-president of sales for
the Dicey Fabrics brand.
He is involved in all areas
of the brand with a special
emphasis on sales and de-

From 2013 to 2015
Neisler was president of
Dicey Mills, and before
that served as the compa-
ny's vice-president of sales
for 25 years. He began his
career as a sales representa-

Neisler holds a bach-
elor's in political science
