Lyn Cheshire and Marvin Teer, co-chairmen of the project for the Kiwanis club, said the adult tickets for the performance are $:>. “If we have enough lead time we can arrange lodging and sidetrips to Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock." (heshiresaid. "We ^ould like to have response no later than July 20.” At the performance on July 24 Mayor John H. Moss will make an'address on behalf of the city. This is the 25th season of Kermit Hunter's outdoor drama at Boone. '‘Horn In The West" tells the story of the tar heels who lied to Tennessee to live, then joined in the overmountain march to do battle with Maj. Patrick Ferguson in the Battle of Kings Mi'untain in 1780. Glenn Causey again por trays Daniel Boone and Charles Elledge of Dallas is again seen as the Rev. Isaiah Sims. Both performers have been with the show for 20 years. Elledge. who is a retired school teacher, principal in Gaston County, became Rev. Sims 20 years ago when Thursday. Parking Citation Warning The Kings Mountain Police Depart ment will begin issuing citations to owners of vehicles parked on the wrong side of city streets this week. Chief Earl Lloyd said by definition C‘ rrect parking where permitted means the rigl.t side of a vehicle is next to the curb. When the driver’s side is next to a curb citations will be issued. Chief Lloyd said that persons parking vehicles on sidewalks and blocking private driveways during sports events will alsi> be cited.
