Oreen Post 165 American L«glon golf tournament at Kings Mountain Country Club. Both Jackson and Howee shot even par 73s. In a scorecard comparison, both golfers were even until the fourth hole, when Jackson had a par and Howse a bogey. Darrell Austin Jr. w«i the Callaway system honors with a net 73. BUI McOlnnls won the honorary member division with an 83. In closest to the hole competition on the par threes, Howze won on number seven, Charles Wilson on 14 and Ken Com on 17. Jackson won longest drive honors on the 18th hole. P. Whetstlne had the highest score of the day, a 135 for 18 holes. Awards were presented at a dinner-dance Saturday night which featured music by the "Blue Velvets.” Chairman Charles Hampton said that Poat 165 Is grateful to Kings Mountain Country Club and Rudy Hayes for use of 1 the course, to all i J chants who donated door prizes for the event and to ] aU members of the Post who helped serve food during the games.
