The bridegroom's mother chose a floor- length gown of green Sllesta knit. The scooped neckline of the gown fell Into a soft, full bodice which was caught at the waist. She wore a shoulder corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Robert Lee Davis of Gastonia, grandmother of the bridegroom, chose a flora print belted dress of soft knit material and a shoulder corsage of miniature pink carnations. Mrs. Forest Owensby of Bessemer City, grand mother of the bridegroom, chose a floral mauve and grey print gown. The Jacket of the dress was gathered at the waist to form a blouson bodice. She wore a shoulder corsage of miniature pink carnations. Wedding colors of pink. Iris and green were beautifully featured In decorative details for the reception after the ceremony In the church fellowship hall. The bride’s parents were hosts and were assisted by a large number of relatives and friends In receiving. Miss Beverly Dorcas Plonk, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Michael Plonk of Union, S.C. and Mrs. Steve Plonk of Columbia, S.C., slsters-ln-law of the bride, assisted In serving refreshments. Overlaid with linen over lace, the bride’s table, highlight of decoration, held a three-tiered wed ding cake decorated In shades of pink and topped with roses and surrounded by small nosegays of fresh flowers. Punch and party pickups were served from sUver appointments and from white-draped tables decorated with candles and flowers. Candles and ivy were used In the windows of the reception area and flowers, ferns and greenery provided a background for three refreshment tables. For traveling, the bride wore a crisp cotton tailored dress in blue and white and lifted the pink sweetheart roses for a corsage from her bridal bouquet. BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Samuel Plonk of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is grand daughter of Mrs. Clarence Sloan Plonk of Kings Mountain and the late Mr. Plonk and of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Alexander Pollock, all of Kings Mountain. She Is a 197B graduate of Kings Mountain Senior Hlgii and a 1979 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with B.S. In Early CJilldhood Education. She was a Dean’s List student at UNC-G. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Junior Davis of Gastonia, Is grandson of Mrs. Robert Lee Davis of Gastonia and the late Mr. Davis and of Mr. and Mrs. Forest L. Owensby of Bessemer aty. He Is a 1978 graduate of Hunter Huss High School In Gastonia and a 1979 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. In Electrical Engineering.
