Bell, former Klnga Mountain cltlaen, celebrated hla 88th bir thday Sunday at the annual Bell Reunion In Mount HoUy. Mr. Bell la father of Mra. George T. Stewart and Mra. Alma Sellera, both of Kings Mountain. The Stewarts, Mra. Sellers, and Elizabeth Stewart at tended the family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Bell are parents of eight chUdren and have numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Auxiliary. The ex- travagansa will be held Sept. 10, 8 p.m., in Gastonia’s Ashbrook Auditorium. The show will combine music, choreography, special lighting, and a cast of 30 top professional models. A special feature of "Images ’70" will be a retrospective on some of the world’s moat famous designers. Costumes from the coUectlona of Christian Dior, Claire McCardell, "Coco" Chanel, Cristobal Balenciaga and Gilbert Adrian will be modeled, illuatratlng how many of I their Influences are still dominant In today’s fashions. "Images ’78’’ will dramatically preview all the newest fashion trends In sportswear, western wear, suits, coats, dresses, loungewear and "after five" wear. Men’s clothing will also be Included. The Autunm Showcase will open with a per formance by singer, Mary Mayo, accompanied by the Loonls McGlohon Trio.
