Lib Stewart Is In Texas Herald Woman’s Editor Elisabeth Stewart left Wednesday for Houston, Texas to attend the annual National American Legion Auxiliary convention In session through ' next Thursday. Miss Stewart, who Is serving as National Southern Division (Area C) Communications Chairman, Is a post state President of the Auxiliary. Kings Mountain area history buffs are invited to furnish an exhibit depic ting the history of Kings Mountain at Cleveland County Historical Museum during the months of September and October. Historical artifacts, pictures, newspapers, housewares, quilts, fur niture, clothes, maps, books, documents, programs, and any number of Items of per sonal and sentimental value may be loaned tor the exhibit which will Include Items of interest tor the home, school, in dustry, commerce, rnd religious community. Rockathon And Gospel Sing Seventeen "rockers” have signed up for a big Rockathon and Gospel Sing under sponsorship of Mountain View -Baptist Church In Crowded Mountain. The event is slated (or Aug. 24th from 4 until midnight at Dallas Agrlcultureil Center and the public Is Invited to attend. Two top rockers will receive prizes and the person obtaining the most donations to the church will also receive a prize. All proceeds are ear marked tor the building fund of Mountain View Baptist Cniurch.
