Coach Hussey has Just completed his two most ■iceessfui seasons; IBTS, with 31 victories and 1879 with 33 wlha. The '78 team advanced to the NAIA District Play-Offs. Returning from that squad are the two leading scorers, senior, BlUy Holmguard 17.1 points per game and all District Junior, David Kershaw, 17.S points per game. The 1878-80 schedule Is balanced with the strong traditional NAIA District 38 opponenU: Ekm, Lenoir Rhyne, Catawba, Pflffer, J.C. Smith, etc. As In each of hls'elght ' seasons, Cbach Hussey has again scheduled strong NCAA Division Com- A petition. This year the ^ Crusaders face Iona CbUege of New York aty, who last year advanced to the NCAA Eastern Regional Championships. On the same road trip the Abbey plays St. Peters CoUege In Jersey aty. New Jersey. Another highlight ot the season wUl be the fifth annual WBTV Carolina ^ ^CUsslc to be hosted by Belmont Abbey on December 6-8. The Classic will take on a new look as the field has been ex panded to Include new teams.
