Rev. Rugene Weeks, minister of the church, officiated at the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony. Mrs. Evelyn Bridges was organist for the program of nuptial music. Mrs. Teresa Lefevers sang “You Ught Up My Life" and “The Wedding Prayer." The church was decorated with apricot mums and white car nations on each aide of the altar. Two candelabras were set with white tapers and adorned with apricot and white flowers. White bows marked the mother’s pews. Jeffrey Dan RowelL escorted his sister to the alter. The bride’s wedding gown was a design of white acetate nylon chantllace styled with scalloped Queen Ann neckline, full lace sleeves and waistline fit. The gown was com plimented with a ruffled skirt that swept to a cathedral train. The bride’s veil was a two- tiered fingertip chantllace attached to a lace covered julet headpiece accented with pearls. The bride wore a white gold dltunond necklace with matching ear-rings. The bridal bouquet was made of miniature apricot roses, white carnations and baby’s breath accented with white satin streamers. Miss Peggy Ann Rowell of Asheville attended her sister as maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Lora Beth Hawkins, Miss Janet Faith Rushing of Kings Mtn. and Miss Cathy Ann Shull of CherryvUle. Miss Susan Bridges, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Mr. Kevin Parker, also a cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer. ’The maid of honor wore a peach magic knit gown styled with spaghetti straps and sunburst pleated skirt com plimented with a detachable cape. ’The bridesmaids dresses were of the same design In apricot. The maid of honor and bridesmaids carried a nosegay of a large apricot mum with baby’s breath accented with satin apricot streamers. MRS. JEFFREY LANE PAGE (Nancy Eve Rowell) ’The flower girl wore an apricot chiffon gown styled with empire waistline, stand-up collar, and cap sleeves. The gown was accented with baby ribbon. She carried a white lace basket filled with rose petals. Kim Annette Gladden attended the register. She wore a light green-white brocade gown and a cor sage of white carnations. The bridegroom’s father was best msui. Groomsmen were Mr. Ronnie Lefevers of Charlotte, Mr. Ronald Rowell, the bride’s brother, and Mr. ’Todd Page, brother of the bridegroom, both of Kings Mtn. The bride’s mother chose a floor-length mauve Miss Eve Rowell Honored At Parties Miss Eve Rowell, whose wedding to Jeff Page took place Sunday afternoon Aug. 12th, was honored at a bridal luncheon Aug. llth at the home of Mrs. Joann Rushing. Miss Rowell was presented a corsage of daisies and a plaque for her new home by the hostess. An assortment of fruit in a scalloped watermelon cut In the form of a basket and punch were served prior to the luncheon. A beautiful bride doll was used as the cen terpiece with white can dles and lace tablecloth. TTie luncheon tables were set with pink checked cloths and napkins. The menu consisted of ham biscuits, BBQ meatballs, com, green beans, potato salad, slaw and ice tea. -oOo- Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Page hosted a cook-out at their home honoring their son, Mr. Jeff Page and his bride-to-be. Miss Eve Rowell on Sat. Aug. llth. Members of the two families and the wedding party enjoyed swimming and fellowship along with the hot dogs, hamburgers and cokes. Her veil of Imported silk Uluslon was attached to a tiered crown of tulle petals sparked with pearls and crystals and she carried a white Bible topped with blue and whtle carnations, baby’s breath and blue satin streamers. RECEPTION Wedding colors of apricot and white were tsatured In the fellowship hall at the reception following the wedding. ’Hie bride’s mother and brother were hosts. Assisting with the serving were the bride’s aunts, Mrs. Mildred Gladden, Mrs. Margaret Davis and the bridegroom’s aunt, Mrs. Maybell Strange. Mrs. Betty McDaniel, cousin of the bride, from Rock Hill, S.C. also assisted. Mrs. Joann Rushing and Mrs. Becky Brooks decorated and prepared for the reception. Overlaid with linen over lace the bride’s table held a three-tiered wedding cake with a water fall underneath the bottom layer. Punch and party pick-ups were served from silver appointments. A portrait of the bride which stood on an easel surrounded by ferns and a large candlelabra decorated with apricot mums and white car nations highlighted the beauty of the fellowship haU.
