Santa Claus will come to town In the annual Kings Mountain Christmas Parade on Nov. 28th at 4 p.m. Kings Mountain Fire Department Is again sponsoring the Yule parade and Co-chairmen are Pete Peterson and Johnnie Caldwell. Individuals and club groups planning to sponsor entries In the parade are Invited to contact any member of the Fire Department by Nov. 21. Arts Class Scheduled The Parks and Recreation Department Is sponsoring an after school art class for elementary students. The first, second and third graders will meet on Tuesday from 8 to 8 p.m., the fourth and fifth graders will meet on Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m.. In Rm. 3 at the Kings Mountain Community Center. The cost for the entire 10-week program Is $20.00 ($1.00 per hour). Registration will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. leth, and Thurs., Oct. 18th, In Room 3 at the Com munity Center. Miss Nancy White will be the Instructor. Miss White has an ex tensive background In art through school and home. She recently completed art classes at Gaston College. The agenda for the art projects planned for her students at the Community Center will Include: different types of collage, sculptures In soap and aluminum foil, mosaics, finger and pudding painting, twirl painting, simple puppets, drawing techniques, and different uses of chalks and crayons.
