The program was of- flclaUy kicked off Tuesday with a Volunteer Tea In the West School Library where volunteers were lauded by Supt. BUI Davis, Com munity-Schools Co ordinator BUI Hager, and Reading coordinator Sara Simpson for what wUl be a most vital contribution to the school program. "Parents, grandpsu'enta. aunts, uncles, neighbors and senior citizens are aU needed as school volun teers," said Chairman Sara Faunce. "Now that the teachers are trying to reach each chUd of his or her level, personalised assistance can msike the difference that wUl spur each chUd to succeed," said Mrs Faunce. Mrs. Faunce said that volunteers can choose the hours and type of service and may volunteer an hour or two a week or on a regularly scheduled basis or be Uated on a volunteer substitute Hat.
