A bridal shower was hosted Oct. 30th by Mrs. Wanda Lowary at her home In Bessemer City. Mrs. Lowary, cousin of the • bride-to-be, presented Mias Haaidna with a white daisy corsage on her arrival. Hie bride’s table, overlaid with lace cloth, held a miniature bride doll as central decoration. Punch, cake and party pick-ups were served. ^' Special guests were the bride- to-be’s mother, Mrs. Billy A Hawkins, and the bridegroom- to-be’s mother, Mrs. John W. Protheroe of dharlotte. ’Twenty-five guests ahoigered the bride-to-be with gifts for her A bridesmaids luncheon was held In the Crystal Room of the "tork Chester Inn, Oastonia, on Sat., Nov. 17th, from 1 until 3:80 p.m. ’The bride’s place was mariied with a corsage of silk Ivory camellias and coppertone fbrget-me-nots which she pinned to the shoulder of her green silk printed dress. The bride’s table was secorated in white cloths and royal blue .napkins. An arrangement of blue silk daisy mums and white forget-me-nots In a crystal vase centered the dining table. Flower crystal candleholders held white tapers and crystal. vases held arrangements of yellow mijms. A full-course meal of baked ham, broccoli casserole, stuffed oranges with sweet poUtoes, cranberry salad and hot biscuits were served with hdmemade cheesecake. . Special guests were the bride- to-be’s mother, Mrs. Billy Hawkins; her grandmother, Mrs. A.R. Hawkins of Kings 0 j 0 Mountain; and the bridegroom- to-be’s mother, Mrs. John Protheroe of Charlotte. Hoetlng the event were Mrs. Barbara Hawkins of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Diane Belt of Oastonia, aunts of the bride-to- be, and Mrs. Jackie ScUm of Kings Mountain.
