Brenda Blanton will instruct the morning class, and Charlene Jones will instruct the evening class. Macrame for beginners begins Thursday, September 4, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Universal Craft Cord, 226 Lee Street, Shelby. Yvonne Nuhrah will instruct. EDWARDS Edwards To Speak At Boyce Dr. Charles Edwards, former^ pastor, will deliver the morning message at Boyce Memorial A.R.P. Church’s annual: homecoming on Sun., Sept. 14. The days activities will include’ a Rally Day program at 9:45, worship at 11 a.m., lunch at 12:30 and a Psalm Sing at 1:45. Members are urged to bring a well-filled picnic basket and guests. Dr. Edwards is now retired and living in Flat Rock, N.C. ART CLASS Charlotte artist John Brady will return to Kings Mountain Sept. 9th to conduct classes at 7:30 p.m. second Tuesdays at A.B. Snow Originals. Rev. William H. Tyson arrives in Kings Mountain today (Thursday) and assumes his new duties as pastor of Boyce Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Sept. 1. The new pastor comes to Kings Mountain from Bartow. Fla., where he served as co pastor for the past four years of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bartow, Florida. Previous to that time he served as pastor of the Steam Mill Road Presbyterian Church of Columbus, Ga. from 1973-76. He is a graduate of Belhaven College where he majored in Bi- REV. WILLIAM H. Fite, 73, of 203 Ridge St., who died Tuesday in Kings Mountain Hospital after several month’s il lness, will be conducted Thurs day afternoon at 3 p.m. from East Side Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. Buddy Williams will of ficiate at the rites and interment will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Mr. Fite was son of the late John H. and Dora Reynolds Fite and was married to the late Ola Mae Dalton Fite. He was a retired self-employed exter minator. Surviving are four sons, David Fite of Dallas, T.H., Gene and Garland Fite, ^ of Kings Moun- ta; four daughtere, Mrs. Thur man (Doris) Peterson of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Helen Roark of Kings Mountain, Mrs. Albert (Judy) Warlick of Bessemer City, adn Mrs. Phillip (Patsy) Carpenter of Kings Mountain; one brother; Arthur Fite of Shelby; two sisters, Mrs. Otis Falls Sr. of Kings Mountain and Mrs. BJ. Since 1979, Mr. Tyson has been pursu ing a study in church growth and training of the Laity which is given at the Fuller Theological Seminary. The completed course will lead to a Doctor of Ministry Program. Mr. Tyson is married to the former Mary Ann Cappel and they have three daughters, 1 Kristin, Lisa and Heidi. They ‘ will be residing at the ARP manse on Sherwood Lane. Throneburg. Mr. Throneburg stopped in the city enroute from San Diego, California where he attended a Theatres Convention.
