LELA BLACK Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Mattie Black, 71, of H)8 Clon- inger St., will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Penleys Chapel Methodist Church by Rev. Leonard Huff- stetler and Rev. Earl Redding, interment following in Moun tain Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Black died Monday mor ning at 2:30 ajn._in Kings. Mountain Hospital. She was a native of Cherokee Activities Scheduled The Bicentennial Yough ac tivities, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department will be held in the gymnasium of the K.M.N.F.C. (Community Center), Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s activities are for ages 7-12. Sunday’s activities are for ages 3-6. Parents must be pre sent for Sunday’s activities, for which some events are for parent and child. “W6 hope to make the two days of special activities en joyable for both parent and child, to celebrate and recall the activities for years to come,” said Recreation Director Mike Nap- pi.
