Jerry Noftsger of Shelby won the 14-mile mini-marathon in one hour, 22 minutes and 14 seconds. Bobby Pickens of Spar tanburg was second in 1:28.19 and Donald Vinson of Spartan burg third at 1:32.38. Jean Quick of Charlotte won the 3-mile woman’s race in 22.26, Elizabeth McGill of Kings Mountain was second at 27.26 and Angela Bumgarner of Kings Mountain third at 2939. In the men’s division, Mark Hin son of Spartanburg finished first in 1838, Bernard Womick of Kings Mountain was second at 18.51 and Paul Eckerd of Shelby third at 19.16. In the one-mile fun run, Joseph Smith of Kings Moun tain won the men’s division in 5.48, Shane Ledford of Gastonia was second at 635 and Rodney Wyatt of Gastonia was third at 733. Erika Wood of Kings Mountain won the women’s division in 7.45, Rebecca Mendenhall of Gastonia was se cond at 7.46 and Maggie Will of Dallas third at 8.43.
